This incredible high-quality bag is a charming example of a carriel. This style of purse is a small leather satchel originating in the Antioquia region of Colombia, associated with paisa culture and usually made of rawhide or nutria fur. They are a traditional accessory, typically for men, and commonly used to this day by the modern Colombian businessman. This particular carriel is beautifully crafted with genuine fur and leather, and stamped “JERICO” on the back. Inside, it’s accordion-style, with 9 compartments, 5 of them spacious and two of them hidden. Measurements: 10.5"L x 9"H and expands to 9"W; strap is 52".
